Mr Simon Timms
Simon has been nominated to be a trustee by Devon County Council. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Trust. He has formerly served as chairman of the National Trust's archaeology panel and as chairman of its governance handbook working group.
Simon is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Formerly County Archaeologist for Devon, he is currently employed as Head of Countryside and Culture by Devon County Council. Educated at Oxford and Exeter, he has academic qualifications in classics, archaeology and education. He lives in Exeter.
